You kinda have to admire the delusion of this sentence: "I'm assuming that, consistent with history, many more-affluent people who are free to choose how to spend their money would willingly subsidize the schooling of those who are less affluent."

It's almost as entertaining as his admission that he offered his daughter $2000 if she made it to adulthood without becoming a smoker. Because apparently moral suasion and arguments to health, well-being, and the maintenance of one's own beauty weren't enough.

There are some people who are animated exclusively by money. I'm glad I'm not one of them.
