In a six-to-three ruling the Supreme Court struck down the Texas sodomy statute, stating that individuals are "entitled to have respect for their private lives. The state cannot demean their existence or control their destiny by making their private sexual conduct a crime."

Whoo-hoo!

Scalia was so pissed off he stood up at the reading of the ruling to protest that "This court has taken sides in the culture war and signed on with the homosexual agenda." Oh, bite me, you right wing prig.

It's time to stock up on those Semen taste-enhancement dietary supplements.

My journal has my summary and thoughts about the ruling -- after javing read the four opinions. While I disagree with the majority of Scalia's opinion, I hope he is correct about the Opinion of the Court destroying all morality legislation.

The news reports I've seen all go on about homosexuality, and seem to miss the wider scope of some State's laws, which would make me a criminal for doing some fairly ordinary straight sex, if I'd done it in that State.

Some freaks would still call oral-genital contact kinky, or even deviant, but it is at least legally simple.

Talk about one-stop shopping...!
