Dec. 13th, 2007 06:51 amWell, the laptop is slowly shaping up. I have full video and audio (yay!), my favorite text processor and a few other useful utilities that I enjoy using, and most of the things I need for day-to-day operations, like Firefox, Thunderbird, Liferea, GAIM, and so forth.
On a whim, I also installed the BioAPI. I no longer need to give this machine my password. I just put my finger down on the fingerprint reader and it unlocks for me. I haven't quite got that working with unlocking the screensaver, but it works for logging into the machine after bootup, and for gaining root (administrator) access.
