I decided that I was tired of not maintaining my writing blog, so I've been writing tools that allow me to use my LJ composition tools and either post them to the WordPress blog or cross-post them automatically. The results are promising. Right now, it's a simple python script that looks for the last article in my LJ tagged 'writing' and posts it to my wordpress blog. It can also use files in my drafts directory, so I can post them to WP without having to send them to LJ at all. Nifty!

All right, there's no point in holding off any longer. Ladies and gentlefen, Journal Entry 223 / 06119: Sterlings: Polly's Wreck has been released and is now available worldwide at the finest erotica science fiction space opera website anywhere!

Polly and Saul is to be released Wednesday, August 15th, and I'll try to maintain an every-two-week schedule from here on out.

[Storycodes for thems that care: human woman / human futanari, first time, romantic, slow. No math involved.]

Since Kouryou-chan isn't taking dance over the summer and Yamaraashi-chan is over at her mother's house, I had an opportunity this evening to go hit the Seattle Ruby Brigade meeting over at Cafe' Vivace.

I met a lot of very smart men who seem to be not doing a whole heck of a lot. Rails was the obvious talk of the day, and I received a great quick lesson on how to use migrations to version-control the database. I got into a religious discussion on Python vs. Ruby, and why Python has the lion's share of minds and why it's struggling against Ruby in document-embedded language applications like Rails and RHTML. (Basically, he hated the whitespace requirement in Python, which I pointed out was a case of convention over configuration-- a motto of ruby-- and he admitted that he really just hated the whitespace requirement.)

It was a pretty good time. I got there early and finished editing chapter 19 of Sterlings: Polly and Dove. (I posted chapter one earlier today, by the way. Go read, tell me what you think!)

Down to the wire now, only three chapters left.
