Confusion that shouldn't be!
Jan. 27th, 2007 07:48 pmI have to keep reminding myself, when writing Zia & Polly stories (I got the cross dressing episode done, yes!) that it is not Pia & Zolly, and neither one of them is short, dumpy, and untalented (see the Music entry for explanation).
The day has been normal. I have a new batch of Dead Man's Reach coffee, so I'm happy. This morning we had oatmeal and then we headed off to Kouryou-chan's school where I once again spent the entire day on the roof, lopping branches and cleaning gutters. The weather was so nice I think I got a bit of a sunburn.
Right next door to the school is one of those "you do it" car washes, and since this was the first bright and sunny day since November the place was packed. Waiting lines five deep of blingmobiles and "my rap is louder than your rap" contests.
When we got home, we hit the showers. Omaha took a nap while I shaved, and as the steamed mirror cleared I looked down and had a "Holy moly, are those my arms?" moment. My biceps are twice as big as they used to be. Now if only my pectorals would keep up and the damn gut would go down.
Omaha went out with old friends who're in town for the weekend. I tried to convince Kouryou-chan that we should go to a game night at the AlohaHaus, but she doesn't want to go out. She's been grumpy today. We had spaghetti and home-made sauce for dinner. I've been pretty tired and worn out after all the gardening and repair work, so maybe I won't try harder to convince her, and we can just stay home and read.
