Kanji of the day

Today's kanji is 生, pronounced せい or しょお,usually, but accompanied by a whole bunch of other pronounciations depending. One common kun reading is い。 It means "life," "be born," or "student." Common words are 先生, "teacher", 蓄生 (ちくしょう)、meaning "beast" or "damn!" (Often heard in anime). Another meaning is "raw," as in 生乳 (せいにゅう), meaning "raw milk."
