Well, Sunday has been mellow. We awoke to a light dusting of snow

Snow!
, so the girls got booted outside to play with the neighboring kids, who tossed snowballs and made a little snowman and stuff. They had a lot of fun, but when we got them inside Kouryou-chan was a monster. She was whiny and crying, and it wasn't until we got a healthy dose of cream o' wheat into her that she was much better. I was a bit cranky myself, but some of that coffee I mentioned yesterday was a miracle. (I must have liked it more than I originally thought; reading yesterday's post, I see a blubbered and repeated myself. I'm reminded of Greg Egan's observation that when we all have targetted, implanted pharms, the 20th Century's abuse of coffee will seem like one of the century's many great tragedies.)

After breakfast, Omaha and I settled down to more work. I had a lot of personal cleaning and filing to do, she had MacRadio stuff. The girls made up their own games as they went along. I just realized; I don't believe they've had any TV and maybe two hours of video games-- Myst, of all things-- all weekend. Lunch rolled around and we made egg salad. The girls love smashing the eggs.

Then it was time to take down the Christmas tree. The girls had a lot of fun taking down each ornament and putting it away. Then I hauled the tree out onto the back deck and tossed it down into the yard below. The girls found one more ornament back there, and they stayed out until it was too dark to see.
