A couple of extra Saturday notes: Breakfast was pancackes, and I left some in the oven so by sunday they were hard as rocks. Damn, I hate doing that. Also, Kouryou-chan made most of her own egg salad sandwich. I boiled the egg and chopped the celery, but she peeled and smashed the egg, mixed in the celery and mayonnaise, and spread it on her bread all by herself.
We went outside for most of the day. I had spilled some milk-rich coffee in the backseat Wednesday and by Friday it stank badly. So I cleaned out the car, vacuumed, and then got out the carpet steamer and went to work. ( Elf details the car. ) Kouryou-chan took the picture of me. She's getting very good with the camera, no?
After a quick trip for weekly groceries, mostly produce and stuff, we got back and Kouryou-chan and I went to work on washing the outside of the car while Omaha tended to the flowers in the garden. ( Kouryou-chan helping to wash the car. ) I had a great time.
There was the usual games of Sequence in the middle there somewhere, and Omaha made these delicious sandwiches, layers of cold roast chicken, cranberry chutney, cream cheese, sliced radish, and spinach. I would never have thought those flavors worked, but I really enjoyed the sandwiches. Kouryou-chan wimped out and went for PB&J.
I made pizza for dinner, deciding to try store-bought dough rather than pre-made crusts. The Pillbury stuff was terrible, certainly not elastic enough to work. I think next time I'll make my own dough. It's almost warm enough for it.
Now I have two more weekly chores, change the bedsheets and give the kitchen floor its weekly mopping, while Omaha puts Kouryou-chan to bed. And then I'm going to get a full night's sleep.
