Yes, it's snowing.
Jan. 6th, 2004 09:15 amI woke up this moring and looked at the news. Kouryou-chan's school was closed according to the school district reports, but there was just a light dusting on the ground. Not really the kind of conditions that keep us from going to school.
But I took the school district at their word and went back to bed for an hour. When it was time to wake Kouryou-chan, I looked outside and now it was really coming down. There was an inch on the top of the car and it was still storming down. Kouryou-chan was great waking up, not a problem.
Well, we're snowed in now. I'm making oatmeal right now-- warm, winter food indeed. Later, we're going to take down the Yule tree and then an experiment: oatmeal cookies, half made with standard-cut rolled oats, half made with steel-cut pinhead oats.
