elfs | It's not so bad after all

Well, I visited the dentist today and I don't have an infection after all. What I do have is an exposed nerve. One of the sutures apparently came loose and debris got packed into the wound cavity, pressing up against an exposed nerve. The other stitches came out today and the doc said everything actually looked really good, no off-color or anything. She gave me a portable syringe I'm to use whenever I eat solid food to clear out the back of my mouth and keep the wound clean, and otherwise I'm going to be well in a week or so.

Still hurts like hell, but she said that should ease up soon, too.

Otherwise, I'm feeling awake and alive, despite staying up too late last night to play Half-Life.
