Clever Ideas Wanted

Damn, my jaw hurts. It's getting worse, not better, and I'm just so sick and tired of it hurting in the first place. I'm taking massive doses of ibuprofen because it seems to work best at moderating the pain, but I just want it to stop before next Tuesday when the stitches come out.

Anyway, the clever ideas I'm seeking are in regards to my anniversary, which is next Thursday. According to the traditions list, I'm supposed to be getting us either ivory or gold jewelry, although I suppose that the silk and lace categories from the year before might do just as well, since I can't recall actually trying to match those from last year as well. I'm terrible at buying gifts for Omaha and I was wondering what creative ideas people out there might have had.

I know what to get her next year. That's not a problem.

The last thing I heard about ibuprofen was that it really messes up your liver, thus making problems for you if your body is trying to clean out an area, such as beneath your gumline.

Tylenol (acetominophen) is the one with dangerous liver toxicity. Moderate overdoses can put you in line for a transplant (or a coffin).

Acetominophen (Tylenol) messes up your liver. Ibuprofen is associated with renal failure, but only when used chronically and in high doses. Hopefully, I won't be in pain long enough to fall into either category.
