Playboy Theory

I think that Ricci should pose in Playboy before the movie comes out. Then people will go see "Prozac Nation" (or not) based on how good the movie is, not how nice Christina's tits are.

(I also read somewhere that an upcoming movie "Monster" features several nude sex scenes between Ricci and Charlize Theron. I must say I approve of the roles she's taking. ;-)

Looking forward to it. Some movies are automatically a purchase item when they come out - this qualifies.

At least things are easier on ya now. From 1991, Addams Family, until 1998, turned 18, it was rough not noticing that she was a beauty.

In the Addams Family movies, I didn't notice that she was particularly "a beauty." She was f'ing talented with a delivery that was utterly devastating, especially in the hands of a good scriptwriter and a good director. (Trivia: the screenwriter for Addams Family Values has only one other script credit, for the Kevin Kline farce In and Out)

She was quite beautiful when she hit around 15-16, but wisely (perhaps more at the urging of her parents and agent) kept to fare appropriate for her age, like Casper (which I think is worth watching only to see her-- compared to her, Jeff Daniels, who plays her father, is an expressionless lump of wood) and the Disney flick Secret of Bear Mountain.

Since then, she's been going for more legitimacy-- and suffering when her agent and money drove her into the utterly unwatchable That Darn Cat, or when she sleptwalked through her role is Sleepy Hollow.

Obviously, the transition to adulthood has been rough on her. I only hope that she manages to get a career as as actress and not a pin-up. She's too talented.

If you want to see a really young Ricci doing some really great stuff make sure to rent "Mermaids." Actually I think it's one of the best films Winona Ryder has done. Ricci plays her little sister and has some killer scenes. You haven't lived until you've seen her at 8 running around with a carved pumkin on her head.
