The Friday Five. About food.

1. What drinking water do you prefer: tap, bottle, purifier, etc.?
The tap, actually. It's not bad at all in Seattle. We have some of the better municipal water in the country, or so I'm informed.
2. What are your favorite flavor of chips?
Tim's Cascade Sea Salt and Vinegar. Stuff'll make your jaw feel like it's about to fall off. Mmmm...
3. Of all the things you can cook, what dish do you like the most?
Gosh, I make a killer chili, a great pasta sauce, a spinach, sausage and espresso lasagne with home-made noodles, and I'm not bad with plain old steak and baked potatoes. I have a fabulous recipe for baked salmon. I can whip out scratch pancakes from memory, and I've even made truffles and kettle corn to be proud of.
But if there's one thing I like the most from my kitchen is home-made bread. I've gotten very good at it, and my last batch of challah was wonderful. There are some oatmeal and coconut dunking cookies I made Wednesday, too.
4. How do you have your eggs?
Scrambled, with milk.
5. Who was the last person who cooked you a meal? How did it turn out?

A Friday Five Of Ancient Days
1. What toothpaste do you use?
Toms of Maine. Usually one of the mint flavors with baking soda, but

2. What color/brand is your toothbrush?
Philips Sonicare, and they only come in white.
3. Do you use mouthwash?
Listerine! The real stuff, not that wimpy minty flavor.
4. What gum/breath mints/breath spray do you use?
I don't, usually. I'll use Listerine breath strips when I'm desperate, although I suspect they're not terribly better than plain old Certs.
5. How do you plan to spend your weekend?
Well, Omaha is planning on throwing a birthday party for me, so I guess I'll have to go to that. I'd like to see The Matrix Reloaded, but Omaha has put her foot down and said not until she gets to see X-Men 2, so I may have to wait. There's also the University District Street Fair, which we try to hit every year, so we may try and go tomorrow early in the afternoon. Omaha has tickets to a Yanni concert Sunday night, so I'll have the place to myself then, at any rate.
And she replied...
Date: 2003-05-16 09:39 pm (UTC)I do *not* keep forgetting. They just never have that stuff there when I buy it.

Ah, yes. There's nothing like watching Elf stick that thing into his mouth and turn it on. A power drill has nothing on this thing.

[insert high-pitched, alien sounding voice]
Minty freshness...minty freshness is burning my eyes!

Oh, no dear, I can just have fun with our friends and take *your* gifts back! This from the man who admitted on the actual day of his birthday (May 7) that he missed all of the fussing I usually did on his birthday in the past.
