Thank you all for your kind words. Yeah, I managed to crush the cruel influenza virus with 24 hours of sleep in a 30 hour period, including an hour-long bath in which I managed to shave and shampoo and generally restore myself from my utterly sloven ill condition. I felt well enough that I was able to return to work today. I don't quite feel run-over by a lorry-- maybe merely by a pickup or something similar.

Doing tons of vitamin C, Zinc, and the usual multivitamin, along with Advil, in the hopes of keeping the recovery pain under control well enough to do my job and get the content of my main project out the door. I feel so far behind...

Definitely the C will help... also, there's a specific for the flu called "oscillococcnium" (I think) that will kill a flu virus unaided in 18 hours... so next time you confront one of these wee nasties, you can kill it dead... this stuff can be found in the natural medicines section of Freddie's or similar... blue and orange on white box...

take care, eh?

*hugs* I'm glad you're feeling better. Get some good rest, make sure it doesn't sneak back up and whap you upside the head again.

Don't forget stimulating the base chakra - does wonders for the immune system, not to mention all those lovely endorphins Hope to have you back in working order soon so you can come out and play. Hugs.

It's unlikely it was actually influenza. The number of actual influenza cases is very low, compared to the number of "flu" cases. Most of the time, when someone has "the flu", they don't actually have influenze, but something else. The number of influenza cases in Massachusetts in some recent year was about 6. Yes, 6.

Good that you got over it, though - whatever it was. :)

*HUGE HUGS*

Glad to hear you are doing better. ^_^ Hope that you can continue to take care of yourself so that you don't relapse and don't try and push yourself too hard. =)
