elfsIn the last four months, in my house, there were three scheduled opportunities when, supposedly, I'd have the house to myself. Omaha and Raen would be out of the house and for at least a few hours I would theoretically be alone, able to blast my music, play video games, or do whatever I wanted.
Three times, without fail, some member of my family has fallen ill during those times.
It's almost as if the universe is convinced that if I were left alone, I'd probably do myself in, and therefore I must never have the house to myself without supervision of some kind.
