This explains why I never did like Sasha Grey. It was obvious that she so utterly served the actors and onlookers that she seemed barely human. The sex robots in my fiction have more humanity than she projected on the screen.

I've stopped watching commercial porn, so I have no idea who the hot actresses are these days. Bree Olsen seemed highly engaged. My favorite, clearly enjoying the hell out of herself actress of the last decade was Lily Love, who just oozed "I like sex."

This is why I can't watch any japanese porn. It must be something cultural, the women never seem to be enjoying themselves, they look sad at best.

Grey gets away with things because she is famous and attractive.

She has also publicly defended her work stating that she likes it, and that she intentionally challenges her partner(s) by making it a "mind game".

I agree that her work isn't for me... it's a little extreme... but I have a suspicion that she would consider that a "win", which I can totally dig and respect.

The Abby Winters releases I've seen have been good on that front. There's something oddly wholesome about them, like you're just watching people who have a great sex life and happen to be skillfully filmed while they go at it. No men in them though, in case that matters to you.
