Herman Cain on Jesus of Nazareth:

For over 2,000 years the world has tried hard to erase the memory of the perfect conservative, and His principles of compassion, caring and common sense.

Yo, Herman:

Cain also said, "He helped the poor without one government program. He healed the sick without a government health care system. He feed the hungry without food stamps." That's because he was a god who walked the Earth. When you find another one of those, Herman, we'll be able to do without government.

But I imagine there are a lot of Christians who are offended to the core by Cain's claim that Jesus belongs to Cain's flavor of political party. What's that famous quote? "You can safely assume you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do." Herman Cain needs to look in a mirror.

Don't forget how he flipped out on a bunch of money lenders, was a generally rabble-rousing anti-establishment radical, and one of his closest followers carried a sword and knew how to use it.

And there's the matter of what he was sentenced to death for...
