I'd much rather be home, arguing the finer points of linguistics, than out with friends. And trusting colleagues to take notes for me would mean that I'd miss the valuable sort-and-filter process which I find both pleasant and worthwhile in terms of study technique.

I worry not about the slackers and know naughts. My being able to do when they do not means they have to pay me for my abilities. My knowing where they know not gives me power over them.

If the sheep want to be reckless, there's not a thing wrong with easy pickings. Easy prey means more free energy to do other stuff.

At the same time, F) *almost* sounds indicative of the student's own OCD, since the mentally ill usually have a hard time recognizing when they're irrational - especially considering how worked up he makes himself out to be. Either way, that just makes it even funnier.
