Does it help that it's pretty damn hard to make me cry?

While poignant and awesome in its own right, sometimes the human race better resembles a batch of squabbling children than level-headed and responsible adults, and it doesn't really seem to be getting better in that regard.

Although the fact that we're still here in spite of holding the keys to our own annihilation for the past 60 some odd years is a testament in and of itself. Yet 60 years is nothing in the span of human civilization, let alone history. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

There are just too many people who want to remain monkeys, and far, far too few of us monkeys who want to be more. The former have hacked up the Open Road, which may still softly call, but is, I fear, no longer traversable.
