Date: 2011-01-17 10:47 am (UTC)While poignant and awesome in its own right, sometimes the human race better resembles a batch of squabbling children than level-headed and responsible adults, and it doesn't really seem to be getting better in that regard.
Although the fact that we're still here in spite of holding the keys to our own annihilation for the past 60 some odd years is a testament in and of itself. Yet 60 years is nothing in the span of human civilization, let alone history. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.
