Weekend wrap-up
Oct. 18th, 2010 08:34 amWe are all ecstatic to have Omaha home. Peace and tranquility once again rule our little kingdom.
Sunday was otherwise uneventful. We gardened a little, I mowed the lawn, we had our twice-monthly D&D game. When I went outside briefly to put the lawnmower away, I saw two squirrels digging it the once-verdant, now frost-wilted garden. "Hey!" I shouted. "Get out of there!" One of the squirrels looked up with a small carrot in its mouth and I swear it chuckled gleefully as it ran away. Bastard.
Other than that, I plowed through some of the Niccolai Rising series (I've bounced off it before, I'm trying again), and went to bed reading an insanely depressing book, which I may blog about later.
