Retail Pot
Across the street from where I work is a park on Lake Washington, and jutting out from the edge of the park is a pier. I guess it's a pretty popular place to come drink and smoke late at night, because every morning there are beer cans, wine bottles, and cigarette butts. We don't usually find hard liquor or malt beers; I suspect the folks who gather late at night in Madison Park aren't the downtown hard liquor types.

But the marijuana dealers must be getting rather confident. Supposedly, the city is supposed to make marijuana busts their lowest priority, by voter fiat. But pot arrests are at near record levels, even though the city prosecutor has said he will not prosecute such busts.

Still, this is an interesting branding exercise. The bag is about 1.5 inches on a side.

Even more brazen in Canada

The largest Canadian dealer advertises on the Government of Canada web site, has a 1-800 number, and offers same-day delivery using a government-owned courier service. Internet orders are half the price of street value.

Of course, that dealer is the government agency Health Canada, so they charge tax on all orders.

Find out where he gets those bags. If Prop 19 passes in CA, he'll make a fortune on 'em.
