When worlds collide: Ken Jennings, Jeopardy game-show supra-genius, surprises us by revealing that, despite his Mormon upbringing, he is a Cerebus The Aardvark fan. Even more curious, Dave Sim appears to be a Ken Jennings fan.

Many's the Mormon that's surprised me. Howard Tayler, author of the fine military-SF webcomic Schlock Mercenary, and several local filkers... whom I won't out here because, frankly, outing involuntarily isn't cool... and they're very cool people, and I'm happy to know them. So, no, it doesn't surprise me much that Ken Jennings is something of a hoopy frood.

I mean, come on, he pWn3d Jeopardy! you can't do that and not think....

(I remember finding out that someone I was considering dating was Mormon... which kinda put her out of consideration for being more than good friends... but discovering in the next minute "Yeah, I'm a Sunday school teacher. I teach my kids to *think*. Verra, verra cool. Could use more such people in the world.)
