What kind of idiotic, brain-damaged, spoo-herding idiot closes Seattle's biggest waterpark "for scheduled maintenance" on the last Friday before school begins? Kouryou-chan and I drove all the way out there, only to discover it was closed. I mean, what the fuck? This is probably our last chance, and our last nice day of weather, before school begins next week.

Yeah, that does seem rather stupid. You'd expect that parks would wait until after the Labor Day weekend (The last long weekend of the summer) to curtail hours.

Any chance it's because "for scheduled maintenance" sounds better than "something didn't pass inspection and we had to close it for safety reasons?"
