Omaha and I went out to the Grind last night, one of Seattle's premium no-alcohol, nudity-and-sex welcomed dance clubs. The woman behind the counter commented on my very low membership number, and I realized as we were talking that there were people who came to the club who weren't even born when I started in the Seattle scene.

Now that's perspective.

It was dead last night. Everyone's either at Burning Man, or saving their money and energy for PAX. Still, I had fun.

In my one visit there, I really liked the place. I felt safe, as one should anyplace, but often does not.
