I'm a gimp!
Jul. 27th, 2010 03:27 pmSo, it seems that the fall off my bicycle has claimed another victim: my left ankle. A tiny chip where the medial malleous meets the anterior tibula is torn off the tibula, resulting in swelling, pain, and a loss of lateral stabilization in that foot.
Unfortunately, that means that I can't go hiking or do any serious walking for the next four to six weeks.
When I went to get my ankle x-rayed, I noticed that they were very serious about making sure pregnant women notified the "technologist. There were nine posters and placards telling women to notify the techonologist about a potential pregnancy, seven in English and two in Spanish.
I was also annoyed by the use of the term "technologist." "Technician" too close to "mechanic," maybe?
