It's really really wrong of me, but I would dearly love to actually read The Day the Universe Came. Cover art here. [NSFW].

I've actually seen the Poul Anderson covers before... Can't say I've seen the others before, though.

I have some of those. Unfortunately I don't have The Day the Universe Came or you could read it.

I'm not quite sure why they list those covers as "inappropriate" on that site though. Half of them are SF porn and thus the covers are quite appropriate.

I seem to remember that Times Without Number by does in fact feature ferocious semi-naked women with strange head-dresses hunting the protagonist with bows, and I'd say that the cover for R.A.H.'s is pretty appropriate, given the theme of the book, too.

I've read a lot of those.
Some of the covers are misleading. :-)

Glory Road, on the other hand, the cover is spot on.

Considering I just finished reading Glory Road yesterday, I have to agree that the cover is spot on.

The porn novels shouldn't be in the list though, as the covers are completely appropriate considering the subject matter.

Buying the book

Other then the language issue, there isn't one I wouldn't read or try to read...

I can very much see that.

How wrong could it be? You've probably already written it better anyhow. I liked that episode.

Well, yes (http://pendorwright.com/journals/01307_046_The_Chorus.html). On the other hand, I'd like to see how someone else did it.

And what is it with rabbits coming (er... ) in threes?

Oddly enough, there's a poster of the book cover:

Sadly, it seems to be a hard to find book these days. There are a couple of copies in libraries, so perhaps ILL can get it for you.

Hah! It took a while to find the one that you were talking about, but... yeah.

I've GOT the New Writing in SF 18. And No.27 was much 'worse'

Yes, that's a man-faced lion about to get it one with a mostly human chick.

On the other hand, the story in question was a heartbreaking love story about the two. So the cover is completely apt.
