Date: 2009-10-24 01:41 pm (UTC)What's interesting is that there could be an effective alliance between the Left and the Right on a movement advocating returning manufacturing to the U.S.: from the Left on social justice grounds (re: offshoring pollution to other countries to make goods we consume), from the Right that outsourcing hurts the economy and sends jobs overseas. However, the two sides are too far apart anymore to recognize potential common ground.
