Omaha and I took Kouryou-chan out minature golfing last night. It's a cheap pleasure, and Kouryou-chan enjoys it. Somewhere around hole #10 or so, Kouryou-chan took careful aim, swung, bounced the ball off the back bumper and dropped it into right the hole.

"A hole in one!" she shouted, raising her hand and club into the air. I ducked in case it swung back my way. "A hole in one! I got a hole in one! I got a hole in one!" She ran to the hole, shouted one more time "I got a hole in one!" and grabbed for her ball.

"Eewwwww!" she screamed. "There's a slug in there! Gross!"

The sudden change in tenor and action made Omaha and just about die of laughter.

It was a huge slug, too. Why it had chosen an astroturf golf cup is beyond me. We left it alone and played through.

Hole in..... Squelch?

It's amazing what slugs will survive. It probably crawled out later. If there was grass or other foliage nearby, Sluggy may have been there to consume them, or it may have been dropped there by a careless predator.
