Given the number of times I heard it in the course of four hours hanging out at an arcade, I can only conclude that the number 1 song in the nation is "Stricken" by Disturbed. As far as I can tell, at least every other person stepping up to Guitar Hero Arcade Edition chose to play that song.

Oh, and whoever they hired to cover Blue Öyster Cult's "Cities on Flame" should have his larynx cemented with cyanoacrylate. That is the worst cover I've ever heard. As a BÖC fan of long standing, I'm upset by this artless, noise-ridden rendition.
