I heard Rush Limbaugh this afternoon talking about putting up a "Mob-wear" section in the store on his website. He said it would probably take about three weeks to get it all together, what with needing to get proposed designs and pick one and all.

I don't understand the delay. Can't you just go into any uniform shop and get a UPS shirt without the logo?

Seems like this (http://www.healthyandactive.com/incast.html?gclid=CNL86-rXlZwCFRxNagodUH5udg) would be a more sensible and accurate solution.

More Than Cyncal

That sounds like more than just cynical. It crosses over into outright hate speech -- on your part. First Nancy Pelosi's incredibly misplace comment on Swastikas, and then this. Now that Godwin's law has been satisfied, does your blog have relevance any longer?

Sheesh, a guy tries for the cheap joke and he gets jumped all over. Do you really get to question the 'relevance' of someone trying to poke fun at someone else?

As far as Pelosi goes, I think Sullivan has it right, she was using the swastikas as evidence of illegitimacy on the part of the people carrying them. I actually can't see how else to interpret that.

Do you know why? Obviously not, or you won't have commented as you did.

Had a conservative made such a joke in an equivalently reversed situation the politically correct liberals -- press and mob -- would have absolutely murdered them for their "hate speech", "racism (when appropriate or not)", "bigotry", "insensitivity", and you can fill in the many additional adjective terms.

But when a liberal makes such an emotionally charged comment -- and it was clearly calling potential protesters such as my self (I must say potential because my Blue Dog Democratic house Representative has so far cowered in hiding completely away from any such townhall gathering and offered up a chicken-shit tele-townhall only so far) murdering Nazi thugs -- oh, it's just a joke. Sheesh, cut the guy some slack. What's wrong with you anyway (this is especially demeaning), can't you take a joke?

I am tired of the double-standard hypocrisy of left for far too long that they can say nothing wrong and that the Right can say nothing right, and see nothing wrong with adopting their tactics to use back against them. If it's good for the goose, then it's good for the gander, and maybe if they had to face a bit more it, we might be getting a bit less of it in return.

Democrats hate White Men. There, I've said it - and to a large degree I believe it too, based on their comments and actions.

Three weeks? The bill will probably be finished and passed by the time that fat drug addict gets them up on his website.

So now opposing the government with "mobs" is patriotic?

That's funny - last year, it would have been treason.

Exactly...

Some people have very, very short memories... and no sense of their own hypocrisy.

Oh Really

So it was just fine in your mind for anti-war mobs to protest as loudly and violently as they have these past few years, but suddenly now this is bad?

And it's okay for a Heckler's Veto to shut down right-wing speakers on campus, but Heaven forbid when such tactics are used against a Democratic member of Congress.

And all this from the party that has championed Protest Speech for decades while the other side tried for polite, informed, discourse.

You, Sir, are the biggest hypocrite of the all!

Except that during the previous eight years, we had "free speech zones" and vetted audiences where Republicans were almost never challenged. And the hippies going around with giant paper mache' heads were more stupid than angry.

This crowd is angry. This crowd has already had several injuries. Democrats are at least having the decency to let the other side into the room, if only to get the full brunt of their vehemence on television. And unlike the protests of the Bush era, the teabaggers are getting full televised treatment from FOX and CNN, and are loving every minute of their ugly fifteen minutes.

Screaming down the other side so that they can't talk isn't Freedom of Speech. It's thuggery. Period.

It also shows a complete lack of respect for the liberties of one's opponents.

I also love how the Right Wing keeps accusing others of what
they alone are guilty of. See the anonymous commenter for examples.

Sadly, Elf, your joke is anything but. Pulling a Godwin is, sadly, not too far from appropriate. When that minister in Germany compared the Bush administration's behavior to that of her own nation in 1932, she wasn't name-calling, and she wasn't pulling a Godwin. She was expressing dismay and horror over the American government and its neocon and Dominionist supporters acting in ways that looked all-too familiar.
(The West-Germans don't shy away from their history. If anything, it's the opposite. Young Germans have been asking, "Can we please stop flagellating ourselves for the sins of our grandparents & great-grandparents?")

Given the current behavior of the right wing in America, I expect political violence to become normal in another 10-15 years. (That's about how long it will take for the left in America to start using the same tactics, thereby escalating the political arms-race.)

Now now. They don't want to be too obvious in their lineage. It should be a different article of clothing. Personally, I'm thinking trousers.

"Brown Pants" sounds like a perfect label for his fans to me.
