As much fun as hot gay victorian sex would be on the big screen, I'd have to say unequivocally that it would be the only break in the violent projectile vomiting I would be doing for the entire rest of the film.

To say that this is based on a bunch of books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is like saying horseshit is based on grass. That may in fact be true, but horribly disgusting things have been done to it before coming to the end product, and that result is far fouler than the source material.

Yeah. Sherlock Holmes is something of a childhood hero of mine, from both books (of course) and film. Thinking that many people will meet him for the first time in a friggin' action movie, and never see him again... >_

He's a mediocre writer, a poor judge of film, and an overall tool. IOW, he'd be "right" at home...
