Too cute not to mention!
Jul. 9th, 2009 11:23 pmOmaha was walking past Kouryou-chan's room tonight when she looked in, paused, and saw... a glow.
Yes, my kid was under her blanket, reading with a flashlight.
I did that when I was her age too. And I told her so. Then we told her that even so, she still had to get to bed. She has summer camp tomorrow, after all.

On the other than, a lost, torn, or water infested book is usually replaced (if replaced it must be) for the price of around $5.
Add to that the the look and feel of a book for a child, versus a reader, is a very real thing (and you don't get illustrations or graphics in an eBook reader) and basically a book wins hands down.
I would also have no problem with my daughter lending her book to a friend. Her eBook reader, on the other hand....
