Its just overexposure - with cameras on him 24/7, its inevitable some "interesting" photos will come out, even if its just by using camera angle and fast shutter speed to catch a split-second where a head gets turned a particular way. Tabloids use this as their bread-and-butter - I'd be surprised if one of them doesn't use this on their front page with a headline "DIVORCE! - Obama Sizing Up Replacements For Michelle After Titanic White House Lovers Quarrel!"
