I went with a friend of mine to a costume party tonight. The theme was "Prom Night," but since the notice was very last minute all I had was my best suit and a bowtie-ready shirt without the bowtie. She showed up in her best "Slutty Prom Dress" outfit, all hot pink and fishnets, and we made quite the pair.

There were photos being taken, just like at a prom. After we'd had a few taken, the woman taking the pictures popped out the chip, handed it to us, and told us to take it over to a woman doing processing. We could pay to have a print made, or she would just email them to us. I suggested she just email them; I wasn't impressed with the photos as they came out, sad to say. "Okay, I need an email address."

She turned, looked at me, said, "No shit? That's really you?"

"Well, yeah."

"You wrote a lot of really hot stuff once! Do you still?"

"Now and then. Had a few up until about January. About ten a year, if I can manage it."

"I lost track. I'll have to find your website again."

My date giggled after we'd left the photo area to go dance. "I keep forgetting you're famous."
