Well, I sent out three resumes, two blind to startups that have probably already filled their positions, and one to Clearwire, which needs PHP gurus. I also heard back from a recruiter that a company is looking for two people to fill the job I used to do for Isilon; maybe I can convince them just to hire me to do both. Dunno. That'd be fun.

And pay you both salaries. After all, fair's fair!

I just got an interview request. With the unnamed company above. Unfortunately, now that I'm looking closer, my reaction is a bit of an "ugh." Apparently these people specialize in "post-transaction marketing."

PTM is where, after you've purchased something from a website, you're given a final page with some visible offer and a big "click here" button. Unfortunately, if you do click there, the fine print buried at the bottom of the page in flyspeck allows them to use your already-submitted purchasing information to sign you up for some small, monthly transaction, often with a different clearing name to make it difficult for you to track your way back to the original marketer. It's scum marketing, and I don't know if I want to get into it.

For the Isilon jobs, that is.
