Horus, it's just like working
Apr. 7th, 2009 09:38 pm So, I started revising my resume' today. Not quite done, but it's about halfway there. Most of the day was just getting all the crap together; the resume was on my Windows box, and I'd re-installed the OS and had killed Office and didn't have an up-to-date edition of Acrobat and... sheesh!
Getting those Big Blocks O' Time that one needs for concentrated work seems to be just about as difficult here as it was at Isilon. There's always something interrupting. Right now it's been mostly legal and medical legwork, going out and doing all of the things that I didn't have done before the layoffs.
I had a dentists' appointment today. It was probably the last check-up for a while, and they found a cavity that needs some serious work. There's also a slight crack in one tooth, but we'll burn all my remaining insurance just dealing with the cavity. Still, the technician did say that the rest of my mouth is in great shape.
I feel so discombobulated. How the Hell does Omaha get anything done?
