So true:
May I just observe that while Barack Obama relies on having well-written speeches to make his oratorical performances impressive, Bill Clinton is just relying on pure skills of awesomeness to make texts that are pretty disjointed on the page seem incredibly compelling.

Republicans set up "War Room" in Denver
They call it The Ministry of Truth!

A reporter asks McCain about his honor
Wow, just wow.
TIME: I wonder if you could define honor for us?
MCCAIN: Read it in my books.
TIME: But honor in politics?
MCCAIN: I defined it in five books. Read my books.
TIME: Do you miss the old way of doing it?
MCCAIN: I don't know what you're talking about.
TIME: Really? Come on, Senator.
MCCAIN: I'll provide as much access as possible.
Later, the reporter asked him, "Is there anything so far about this campaign that you wish you could take back or you might revisit when it's over? McCain refused to answer the question.

Now that's straight talk.

Not unless it's in hindsight. Like when the guy read and listened to all the wingnut authors calling for liberals to be wiped off the face of the earth, then he went and shot some, then all the authors and radio personalities said "It was just a joke? Ha ha? Don't you get it? I can't believe he took us seriously!"
