King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia Reiterates His Desire To Crush Secularism

Although you won't find it in this article, at the International Interfaith Council in Madrid last week, King Abdullah sided with the Pope and various Rabbis and declared that the three major Abrahamic religions should stop squabbling among themselves and crush the real enemy: secularism.

Come on. It's like "National Brotherhood Week" by Tom Lehrer. These people loathe each other: they each think that they have the right view of the world and the others are perversions of that idea. If they eliminated secularism, they'd just go back to killing each other.

The only thing is, I can't figure out why. Really. I mean, other than the obvious conjecture that RNC powerbrokers have been so fundamentally anti-science that the museum is unlikely to get any visitors.

Well, in the first paragraph of the story, it claims that the museum is hosting convention events, so that could possibly be why.

It's about 1 block from the Xcel Arena, I assume it's inside the security zone, and would not be accessible to the public anyway

Not 1 block from. Across the street from. The Science Museum parking ramp makes a tidy profit from Xcel-goers because it's pretty much the closest available parking.
