Weekend: Kinda blah
Jul. 13th, 2008 10:26 pmUgh. I have so many things to do, and no real energy. Allergies sapping my will.
Partially, that's my fault. I spent some time this afternoon cleaning out the southwest garden. It's a 20-foot long strip that's been allowed to lie fallow (that's Elf & Omaha speak for we were too flamin' lazy to clean it out) for the past three years. It's a jungle back there: even the walkway is inch-deep in classic Seattle moss. Our neighbor, whom I usually like, has let his fence collapse too. I'm gonna have to talk to him about that. But I filled a 60-gallon yard waste bucket with weeds and crud and it's a start.
Not much else happened this weekend. Mostly paperwork, yard work, and running around doing groceries. There was a fundraiser Saturday night for Kouryou-chan's school, and Omaha and I went (thanks much to
codeamazon for taking her overnight) and actually had a pretty good and sociable time. I learned a lot about the other parents and about how they view their own kids and each others'.
Spent some time bike-riding with Kouryou-chan. It's really a wash, calorie-wise, if we ride over to the Starbucks and have milkshakes before riding home.
I did get one major thing done: Thinksaber is out the door, with a soundfile collection and everything. There's also an SVN tree available at svn://elfsternberg.com/, and you can view it my svn archive. It's not much to archive, but it was fun learning how to set up and secure an SVN system that I can write to and everyone else can read.
