Thursday's Brain: Short, Shrill, Kawaii
Apr. 17th, 2008 08:55 am- My Beautiful Mommy
- Okay, I'm squicked. This is a new children's book that attempts to explain to young kids why Mommy seems to be sick and has bandages after her trip to the doctor's for a breast lift and tummy tuck, a package deal known as "the mommy makeover." (via Boing Boing)
- Hilary was for elitism before she was agin' it.

This has to be one of the few times in U.S. political history when a multi-millionaire has accused a much less wealthy fellow public servant, a person of the same party and views who made much less lucrative career choices, of "elitism"!
You know what really annoys me about this issue? I want an elite wonk in the White House. Just like, I want an elite physician, not a mundane one; I want an elite CPA, not a run-of-the-mill accountant. We don't go to sports events to watch ordinary guys, but elite athletes. - According to this, I'm almost a "content provider."
- Kawaii! Linux Distro Tans!
- So cute! Almost makes me want to switch to Mandriva or Arch.

squee!

I'm just glad to have one less sign of social ruin weighing on my conscience.
