They were addressing the merits of the marketing of the movie...basically, marketing a niche movie with big-budget PR, and whether that was a good idea. Whether the arguments contained in the film had merit or not had nothing to do with the coverage they were doing, or normally do.
You shouldn't come down on them for doing their job.
