I have been doing Project 365, really! It's just a chore to upload them and post them properly. I recently upgraded
my Flickr account, too, so I have depth all the way back to the very first posts back in May, 2005, which is nice to see. Anyway, here's the February photographs that I liked:
Feb 21: Pike Place Market, 7am, StreetlevelObviously, Pike Place Market is one of my favorite places to snap. It's so picturesque, especially in the morning before it opens, when the farmer's stands are just getting their stuff together. | Feb 23: Please, let me ouuuuuut!I spotted this poor doggie looking so forlornly out the window as Omaha and I were walking through town after a meeting. | Feb 24: Basket of Mexi-CokeBoat Street Cafe' is proud of their Mexi-Coke. I think this little fabu restaurant, done in total French cafe' kitsch, just likes the way real old-school glass looks in their napkin-lined wicker baskets. |
Feb 25: Punks in Westlake Square | Feb 26: Gas meter in the forest This always weirds me out. There's a greenbelt that separates my house from the main road where I catch the bus, and there's this gas meter right in the middle of it. And it's on! You can sometimes hear gas flowing through it. There's no house near it for a hundred yards! | Feb 27: Gasworks ParkI love the shadows on this. It looks like something out of Half-Life 2. |
Feb 28: Existential Hamster ProblemWhile going to the pet store, I saw this giant poster of a hamster along the outside wall, and some cruel, heartless soul (not me, I swear!) had put a packet of saltine crackers on the little ledge right where the poor two-dimensional hamster could never reach it. | Feb 29: Panther Pile! While Omaha was shopping for a new bag for her laptop at an independent Mac retailer, a little girl piled all of the stuffed animals representing the various releases of OS-X into a pile. It had enough structural integrity she could climb up on them. |
