In fact, it has been found in so many different cultures and religions (from Buddhism and Hinduism, ancient Germanic and Celtic, to Native American), that the fact that it was appropriated by the Nazi's to the detriment of any other culture being able to use it for many generations without being assumed to be Nazi is a huge cultural and historical crime.
But I digress.
