Re the acid trips, have you taken a look at your diet? Continued trouble with stomach acid issues (including reflux) can often be attributed to something in your diet one way or another. Pay attention to the levels of acid you get after eating something. Maybe keep a notebook for a couple of weeks with what you've eaten, when and what (if any) effect it had on your acid issues.

For me higher fat content usually leads to higher acid levels. Or it could even be as simple as not being hydrated enough. Though I've found that taking acidopholus capsules regularly works wonders and keeps me on an even keel. Hopefully you'll find something that helps without too much trouble.
