The interview between the evangelical and the Rabbi was incredible just for the sheer bull headedness of the Christian for completely failing to see the other guy's POV. The article you linked to had it right, these guys can't possibly called friends. Tolerant (for highly varible definitions of "tolerant") rivals, but not friends.
