Date: 2006-11-03 05:22 am (UTC)As someone else pointed out, Haggard is a werid one to go after. Despite his evangelical megachurch holdings, Haggard is not rabidy anti-gay. He even told his flock not to vote for an anti-gay-marriage law in Colorado, saying that there were many sins in the Bible that he would not want to see in the civil law.
If it all turns out to be true, you can just see the evangelicals imploding in a witchhunt to find those among them who've "turned a blind eye" to homosexuality and interrogating those peoples' private lives.
