Hazumu, a rather sweet an sensitive boy of approximately 14 years of age is accidentally struck by a falling UFO, the occupants of which, in the process of putting him back together figure that the Y chromosome is just a variant of the X and "fix" it: Hazumu is returned to his life now as a girl.

Without ever knowing of the existence of this anime until now, last August I created a role-playing character who was accidentally injured by some aliens who thought his Y chromosome was a damaged X, and "fixed" it during some of the other repairs they made to his body.

I wonder how many other of my "original" ideas have already been popularized, just in a language I don't know... for example, the superhero character mentioned above is currently limbless (with several sets of detachable cybernetic limbs), but has met a shapeshifter and proposed that they merge to complement each other's abilities, the shapeshifter acting as a set of limbs. Sound familiar to anyone? :)
