Starcraft ran "out of the box" under Wine 0.9, the beta release. I just put in the CD, mounted it, and ran "wine /mnt/cdrom/setup.exe" and it worked great. I've created a /bin/sh file to run it automatically now, so I can just click on the link and off I go.

Wine 0.9 seems to be a real headache with arcane security modules and directX support, neither of which Starcraft requires. I couldn't get BloodRayne or even Dark Forces II to run, but both Warcraft 2 and Starcraft ran great.
