No, not mine.

I've recently been made aware of the trashy genius of Ray Kainen, whose works included A Sea of Thighs, Satyr Trek, The Spy Who Came and Came and Came, The Cosmic Gash, and worst of all, The Day The Universe Came.

You can probably guess from the cover alone why I'd like a copy of the last:

. They're damned hard to find, though.

Apparently, The Day the Universe Came is the most sought-after book in the Kainen bibliography. $200 for a copy in "good/fair condition"!

I'm amused that the hero on the cover is portrayed as a glasses-wearing geekboy :)

Of course he is. Geek boys are sexy.{:o) I would think any advanced race would go for the developed mind over the developed body anyway.{;o) Much more creative in bed...

Actually, he reminds me of Gordon Freeman (http://www.anry.ru/gallery/gordon_freeman/gordon_freeman_eng.htm), who is also a glasses-wearing geekboy.

Well, the premise of the series is that Gordon is a geek, specializing in "extra-temporal physics," who happened to be the man on sight, and the only one in protective armor, when the shit hit the fan. Someone had to save the world. It came down to the guy with the glasses.
