Sunday: peace and quiet.
Nov. 14th, 2004 08:59 pmWell, Sunday was quieter. FallenPegasus crashed on the couch the night before because he had been too tired to drive home, so he stayed for breakfast. I wasn't feeling too good; the kids had been so overstimulated and wired last night that both of them woke up in the middle of the night and crawled into bed. It's really hard to explain to a child that I'm very territorial about my bedspace. I had to carry Yamaarashi-chan back to her bed twice.
For breakfast, Omaha made blintzes with cottage cheese, honey, ginger and cinnamon, and they were delicious. Afterwards, we set about cleaning the house and playing Monopoly Junior. It was kinda a blur. After lunch I had to work for a couple of hours, getting caught up on documentation issues. It was a quiet afternoon, and I think I prefer my Sundays quiet. But we did manage to get a couple of games of a silly thing called Ker-Plunk in. Something about marbles and sticks, and the person with the least marbles at the end was the winner.
I took Yamaarashi-chan back to her mother's house, and then we made pizza. It was time to sit and watch The Wizard of Oz. Kouryou-chan was really scared, but she sat and watched it anyway.
